Lemon?

Does anyone know what determines a RV to be deemed a lemon. I have done some research on lemon law, but still unclear on it. Thank you

Depends on your state. There is a federal lemon law, but most states have their own.

Suggest you document everything extremely well. Campers aren't covered by it in all states. The documentation burden is large. You have to prove the dealer has not fixed an issue after multiple attempts of fixing the same issue. If it's a bunch of different issues, it's not a lemon. It has to be the same repeated failure in the same area, multiple times. And if the dealer is willing to continue fixing it, it's hard to apply the lemon law.

Is the camper new and under warranty?

Usually you are required to have 3 or more failed attempts to fix one problem. If it's just the dealer dragging their feet you just have to ride it out.

Since dealers are not franchised JAYCO really can't do much.

Ask JAYCO if there is an independent shop nearby that you can use.
