Levelling

How much lumber do I need to carry for levelling? Have you ever needed to lift a side more than 4" ? I am looking at the Andersen camping level and wondering if it would be all I need. Also we have a dual axle trailer so how many wheels do I have to chock ?
New to this in case there is any doubt from my questions.
Thanks
Harry

I carry two 6 foot 1x6 treated boards that I keep in the box of my TV. I have never needed more than 2 to get level and find most times I need just the one board. Very easy to use and cheaper too.

I use these. I had a board flip up on me once and damage my steps. Steps are still a bit crooked.

I also use the Lynxlevelers ( box of 10 ) I don't boondock so my camp ground sites have always been pretty level. Never used more than 2 lego's ( Lynx) per tire on the low side. With the remaining logo's I put 1 under each stabilizing jack and the last 2 under the front hitch. Their about 8" x 8" and 1" high.

I also use these stick on levels front and side and each mark on the level represents 1" of lift needed to bring your trailer to level. Use these and you won't have to carry a level with ya.

I've been using a couple 2x6s. Rarely need more than 1. I looked at the Anderson leveler a while back but was scared off by a lot of poor reviews.

I have two Andersen levelers and they work as advertised -- I've never had to use them to their limits, usually only about 1", and never had a problem with them. I also carry some inexpensive plastic wheel chocks to use in conjunction with the Andersens. I have a large level mounted on the front of the trailer which I can see in the rear-view mirror, so once the trailer is backed in to the site, I just put the Andersens under the low-side wheels and back up until the trailer is level. Stop, chock, and unhook.

I still carry a box with a dozen or so pieces of 2x6's and usually end up using them under the stabilizing jacks.

I carry a set of Andersen Levelers and about 2 packs of leveling blocks and no lumber.

I'll go up to 2 blocks high then if it's more than that I'll get the Andersen's. If it's more than the Andersen's I'll move.

I have two packs of Lynx Levers with the integrated wheel chalks. I also carry 2X6s cut 1 foot each (8 of them). I use them for the stab jacks and the front jack.

Never stacked more than 2 Lynx Levelers and typically use the remaining ones on the stab jacks, then the wood on the front jack.

X4 on the Lynx Levelers. We chock all four wheels before unhitching. Chock all on the low side of the tire if the sight is sloped a lot. If not, we put them between the front and rear tires. Just remember they are the last thing to pull after hitching back up.

Seems some folks love Andersen Levelers...and some do not. My advice, get a couple sets and you will be surprised how easy and fast you can level up with them. Best accessory I have bought for my 5er.

2x10's. I have eight pieces I carry in the TV about 18 inches long. I've only ever had to drive up two high on them though and that was only once. If more un-level than that I move to a new site.
