Lippert buying Curt

Curt hitches will now be part of Lippert.

This doesn't surprise me Grumpy. LCI has reached far and wide in the RV world and has acquired a vast majority of businesses pertaining to RV's. Problem with this is that LCI "branded" products usually are priced higher than their competitive brethren.

I personally don't care for Curt fifth wheel hitches anyway

The fifth wheel hitches are made in China vs from what I understand, the other products are made here. Be interesting to see if it stays that way. I had a Curt fw hutch. It had issues. May have been a one off type deal. I hope B&W doesn’t get greedy and sell out some day.

Back in 10 I bought my first fw and needed a hitch. I bought a Curt Q20. I swear it was made here in the states, but I could be wrong. Mine was a great hitch, no issues at all. A few years later I bought a new truck and decided on a B&W because I didnt want the hitch rails in the bed anymore.
It's too bad Lippert is buying Curt. There goes the neighborhood. As already posted, hopefully B&W doesnt sell out.

I know the receivers are made in the US and they are into a lot more than just hitches according to the web-site.

The problem that I see, since many RV issues are due to components, the manufacturers are seeing fewer & fewer supplier choices.

I think B&W is employee owned and has very deep roots. Best hitches ever made!
