So what did you do to protect your personal safety from the corporation?

To answer your question in general, in the current climate in this country, no one is personally safe as you go about your daily lives, if you get right down to it. .

If you are to believe the stated facts , with what appears to be actual letters from the major players here, you are at risk of financial ruins for just sharing stories from real rv owners. I have not heard that the professed owners are fake folks to create click bait stories. On another venue I was personally warned not to mention any exchanges, as the major player totally gave me the runaround until the make believe warranty ran out.

Not a single email exchange took place after the actual date ended my warranty. My unit was actually hauled back to the factory and brought back to me without correcting my structual problems. I could hear the factory reps laughing their butts off in the ghosts of the nightmare that I endured for 7 months of inaction.

If anyone has followed the entire industry's positions on follow up service and quality builds as brands have been gobbled up by a smaller number of large corporations, a buyer's hard earned money is at risk of going up in smoke, so to speak.

and in most cases the lack of customer care to correct issues that arises once their products are purchased and put into use, things are just a crap shoot if you buy the newer rvs.

I see things in a certain way as we move foward here, after shopping seriously for a newer and more extended stay layout. There are a lot of leftover stuff that's at risk of lot rot. This truly compounds the issues that may arise if a person purchases one at a deal. So service in a timely manner for many of the newcomers to the adventures on the road with an rv and will be more critical than ever before.

Do you actually think things will change when the big corporations completely ignore genuine complaints and shutdown objective or critical feedback in the new open format of social media or the you tube avenue?

I know just enough about this to have a 'feeling' and to say:

FACT: The more flak you hear, the closer you are to a target.

Why the strong-arm approach to a YouTuber, from so high up?

She's brought the 'wrong' attention to and hit on something they (big industry) KNEW (in their private pipeline) was problematic. IS it ALL their fault...no, but they know a LOT of it, just might be.

I'm suspicious of the big guys. We've known for a long time they run the show with all the laws being murky, protecting them. As owners/buyers we take risks buying these units and we KNOW IT. We know our legal recourse for warranty work is an exercise in jumping through hoops and red tape. We know this industry has been self policing and making their own rules...rules that protect them, almost absolutely, with ass-backward laws that we know make no sense, that you don't see in any other 'normal' consumer market.

I think the industry is at a point where they know, owners SEE THEM. Because of social media, the word gets out, networking detailed information. TRUE grievances can be compared. The masses are tired of placing their money on the line in good faith, only to be potentially ruined by the experience of owning their new RV, without the power of CONSUMER LAW on their side.

I think the companies are aware that their days of absolute power over the consumers are coming to a close. We see/hear of more and more states seeking laws to help protect buyers of new RV's.

Do people use their RVs WRONG? YES. But does that mean that every consumer of an RV has no rights when they can PROVE their new rig, sadly, has been found to be slapped together, coming apart like a piñata?

I believe the strong-arm approach by the big guys PROVES this might exactly be what's happening.

I'm not here to argue, as this is simply my personal observation. I do feel there's definitely something shifting; the big guys are afraid that one day (sooner than later) they'll actually be LEGALLY RESPONSIBLE FOR and have to answer for the units they produce and put out there to their consumers.
