If you have power locks, get a lockpad for the outside of the rig. It works just like a key fob but is adhered to the vehicle. It looks just like a factory lock pad. $75...but worth it.

Do you have a suggested site link for these?

Google this part number.

KB3Z-14A626-A

This is Ford's version but there are aftermarket companies that make them as well. Works just like a key fob but it's attached in the normal place with a code. You'll never lock your keys in the RV again. These only work with Ford keyless entry.

I should also note, they're $105.00 at the dealer. They must have went up.

2022 chassis, did you link it to the FordPass app so you could remotely unlock the door? I can do that on my Winnie (though Winnie includes the upgraded Ford 'Lariat and higher' dash and what not, maybe its not on the XLT flavored chassis ...).

A keyless entry keypad was my most missed feature on my new truck. I actually went with the factory keypad and cut out my door pillar trim panel and ran the wired version of this. Had to do some programming to the body control module but it can out perfect!

If you have the basic combination lock on your side door to the RV itself the default code is 3517 I believe I could check my book that that doesn't work. If you've never changed it then that should be the default code on the electronic push buttons on the door to the RV where you can get inside your truck cabin

Somehow my DW managed to lock us out of our Pinnacle late last year in Florida Keys, we called the campground office and the maintenance guy had a master key that unlocked the door.

Dealer should have a master key unless the deadbolt is locked

Well, I forgot that my 2005 F450 does not have a fob option. You have to have a transeiver module in the cab to have the fob option. Ford wants a fortune to buy that box.

Ford made an add-on kit, 2W7Z-15K601-AA. Included everything to add remote keyless entry. It looks to be obsolete but there are a few dealers out there that still show it. It was $200 when it was available. All you needed was power locks for it to work.

In searching Google on that part number, it shows only the key fob; I have two of these, but when following directions to program the fobs, it does nothing, indicating that the black box or programming of the control module that reads the fobs is missing. In searching further, not all early E-450's had this as an option.

Yes, I have power door locks on the door armrest, but no, I don't have the fob option. I can buy an aftermarket unit with fobs to make it work.

I have many extra keys from when I matched my locks, keep one hidden outside the trailer if ever locked out.

We always hide and extra set of keys in a magnetic box. in the bumper hitch on the camper. Came in handy once or twice!
