Longgggg summer trip - for us anyway

8140 miles round trip. Iowa, Minnesota, South Dakota, North Dakota, Wyoming, Montana, Idaho, Washington, Oregon, Idaho again, Utah, Wyoming again, Colorado, Nebraska then a long day through Iowa/Missouri/ Illinois back home.
Check Engine light came on with maybe 215 to go so we kept on. Look like the forest fires/smoke/ashes we seemed to always be near completely clogged air filter but we got home first and took the Brute in.
Mt Rushmore, Crazy Horse Monument, Devils Tower, Black Hills, Petrified forest, Museums(historical and wildlife- don't miss the one in Hastings Nebraska). Yellowstone(3 days and still want more), Antelope Island, Salt Lake, Columbia River Gorge. Ogden Utah (good longggg day trip), Virginia City Mt. , Earthquake Lake, Rodeo, concert, Sheridan Wyo. and Loveland Co. had awesome statues/sculptures, Nebraska St Fair. Mountains, Mountains, Mountains - did I say Mountains??? Can I just say we were busy and sometimes overwhelmed by it all and even had to take a couple of "I ain't doin nothing days". I can't cover it all. 11 weeks and 4 days . Thought yall might want to hear some good camping news so here is what I got.

Sounds like you had a fantastic trip! Those long trips are the absolute best. The worst part might be the first night back home when you realize you're not going to sleep in your trailer that night.

I thought my 6500 miles this summer was pretty far - you beat me. I had a similar issue about the same distance away from home as you. I put together a long post on irv2.com here - http://www.irv2.com/forums/f38/cross...dc-305499.html
