Looking for a good RV magazine.

Looking for a good RV magazine. Is there one out there that covers new features as well as destinations and general camping life? Thanks.

IMHO Trailer Life has gone down hill. Giving credit where credit is due they do have some interesting and informative articles. We subscribed for 6 years and found the articles decreased while the advertising increased. I realize ads pay alot to cover the cost of a mag, but when there's more ads that articles it's just wasn't worth it. We didn't renew our subscription this year.

Only one I get now is Highways. It gets thinner and thinner every issue. I get most of my camping fix from the net. The rv shows on tv are pie in the sky big rigs that no one I know would even want.

I get Trailer Life, but as you said - it is pretty thin. I think it was like $1 an issue when I got it so not much to loose. I learn way more here than any magazine!

I used to get Motor Home, but stopped subscribing because it got smaller and just full of adds. Extreme RVing was another magazine that I liked, but I think it is out of publication.

Been a Trailer Life subscriber for many years. I agree it is not what it used to be but I enjoy reading it every month.

Beginning with current issue Trailer Life has joined forces w/Camping World and the mag. is now thicker. I have read it for several years and still enjoy. Sometimes I do think they try to be too "politically correct!"

We subscribe to Highways and really like it. My husband picked up Trailer Life at the bookstore this week and we both found it very useful and interesting as well.

I subscribe to RV Life Styles Magazine. It has an excellent feature called "Hitch Hints" and another called "The Cooking Ladies". There are reviews, an annual buying guide and another annual that lists camp grounds and their contact info.

Defiantly worth the read.

Thanks, I will check all of these out. I agree that it is hard to beat these forums but sometimes it is nice just to read a magazine as well.

I too had trailer life subscription for several years. I still enjoy them but I buy them from my ipad. They have improved the ui and the sub price is 15 dollars a year. I have bought several past issues for 1.99 each. The current issues are the same price. The price is right and the corners are never dog eared.

Magazine discounts

I've been burned badly by magazine discounters but I've been buying mags from www.tanga.com for years. I have more than I can read because they're so cheap. I just bought Trailer Life for $3.99/yr last week. I feel so dumb because I only bought one year and I probably could have bought three.

I can't tell you when the deal will come up again. You sign up with your email and get one email every night with the day's deal. I get Rachael Ray, Taste of Home, Reader's Digest, Popular Photographer and tons more for around $2.99 or $3.99 per year.

They have great customer service. When I didn't like a magazine, they cancelled it and gave me a credit. Not my money back, credit with Tanga.

I've subscribed for years and in my opinion, the Trailer Life mag deal I'll probably come up in the next 3-4 weeks. Sometimes sooner.

Hope that helps!

Kim

We are no longer fans of Trailer Life. It seems to get thinner and has more ads every year. All of our info now comes from forums like this.

Most of my RV news fix comes from this forum, IRV2, and RV Net. I also get Highways with my Good Sam membership, and I have a subscription to Trailer Life.
