Looking for a Travel Trailer

Greetings all!

New here and shopping for a new travel trailer to carry me into retirement. It is just me and the wife so don't need/want a lot of sleeping space. So I am looking at this:

The 280RSOK
2022 Eagle HT Travel Trailers

https://www.jayco.com/rvs/travel-tra...-trailers/280/

I will be pulling with a 2022 Ford F-250 Diesel.

Pros and Cons? Steer us in the right direction.

Thanks,
Wooly

If it's just you and your wife I recomend jay feather 22rb or 25 rb with the theater seating its just me and my wife it's perfect for us plus having the rear bath gives you a nice big shower with lots a bathroom space and also lots of storage space to the only diffrence with the 25 rb is it's longer and has both theater seating and a dinette

Mine is almost identical except for the bedroom. Mine is the 274CKDS.....I love it!! I would have gone with the one you are looking at but it is just too big! You will have a hard time getting into some parks! Mine at 30' just barely makes it into many parks. I really have to research where I go before pulling into a park!
Good luck!

We pulled an X23B hybrid for a couple of years prior to upgrading to our current 5th. Our layout is similar to what you are looking at in that it has two opposing slides in the living area. When open the living area is very spacious which is nice for the times we are inside due to weather or insects or ??..
A possible negative is the placement of the island, can you access the fridge with the slides closed?
When just the bride and I are traveling we like to leave 2 of the dining chairs behind to add a little more space at the table. We do not have an outside kitchen and feel it’d be a wasted feature for us. We do see many campers using theirs tho.
The inside pics show a modern light color interior and vinyl flooring which we wish we had, our interior is old-school (shades of brown and carpet). Since you will pull with a 250 I’d expect your weights will be good.

There is a reason that manufacturers have so many different floor plans. If this is your first, try to sit in as many as you can. Just because a plan is popular doesn’t mean it will be popular with you.
