Looking for EXACT measurements

Hi there,

We bought a 2021 SLX 224BHW Baja Rocky Mountain Edition. We are getting a shop built for the new trailer and a few other items around the place, and I need to know the height of the Baja Rocky Mountain Edition. All the literature I can find says 10 ft 7 inches... but that is for the standard edition. The Baja has the springs over axles and it is a bit higher, but I cannot find a reliable source for the height. I would just go out and measure, but it is at the dealer getting some gremlins fixed. When I called them yesterday, the only answer they could find was 10'7".

I don't know when I am getting the trailer back, but if anyone has any info, it would help out a lot. I tried to search the forums, google, jayco site... all the same numbers.

Thanks!

I would keep in mind that your shop will likely be around for many many years, more years than you may own your current RV (congrats!). In any case, I would have the shop door 14' high that way you have enough clearance for now as well as have enough clearance for any future RV later in life. ~CA

Pole barn lengths, door heights, equipment trailer capacities....

Always go bigger than you think you need at the moment, because if you're like me your toys just get bigger, heavier and more expensive!

X4
16' walls, 14' door. You'll need 2' more on the walls vs door height for clearance for lights in there, etc.. and I'd make it a minimum 52' long, 56' minimum would be better. Say down the road you eventually upgrade to a 36' 5th wheel, your truck coupled to it is another 18'. You barely have 12" of clearance in the front and back on a 56' long building.
If someone told me 20 years ago that in 10 years I'd have a 34' 5th wheel parked at my house and 4 years after that and 2 upgrades later I'd have a 44' parked here, I'da said your nuts. I've had to expand my driveway 2x and the 3rd I busted out the first 2 concrete expansions and poured as much concrete as I could fit in the space I have and it's still barely enough.
Go BIG or go home! Lol!

Thanks, all!

The plans call for 12x14 doors with 16ft walls. My builder wanted to know if it would be tall enough. He bought a Class A bus style and made his 12x16 with 18ft walls but the cost difference in today's wood is staggering.

Thanks again!
