Looking for owners of a Jayco 184BH

This spring we found water damage in our 2013 trailer. At the time we found it, it was a hand sized soft spot right inside the entry door, and a larger spot under the seat beside the entry door. We only know one other person with this same trailer (in a 2014 model). It turns out they have the exact same soft spots in the exact same spots. Ours is currently with a private certified RV tech and ripped open. The entire joist that runs alongside the door is rotted (the worst in the area by the seat), and the second joist that runs parallel is in better condition, but with water damage. Neither my friend nor I have warranty any longer, but would like to pursue this with Jayco as we know there must be many others out there in this same situation. Please post your story if you have a similar problem with this model. Also let us know if you ever found out how the water was getting in. Thanks so much! Trish & Dana

Better late than never. My 2011 184bh has the same water damage, it runs the entire length of the door threshold, and runs at least 6" toward the center of the trailer. I plan on tackling the repair myself in the next week or so. Sounds like we are in the minority, apparently there haven't been many others with the same experience.
Of course this is a small, budget trailer, but I can say that over the years that I have owned and repaired this camper, I've seen some pretty shoddy "craftsmanship" that will ensure that I buy another brand next time.
