MCD Duo Shade Install

On our last trip, the MCD Duo shade over the dinning table had come loose on one end and was hanging down. I disconnected the other end from the mounting clip to see what the issue was and I found the screw holding the other clip had stripped right out of the wood at the top of the valance. I was able to re-install the clip; however, put the shade back in the valance has turned out to be quite a challenge. They make it seem easy on the MCD website. The instructions are to slide the back side of the shade's header bar into the back of the clip and then push up to click the front side of the header bar into the clip. Well in the video, the MCD guy is working with a valance where you have barely enough room for the shade assembly let alone your hand. Oh yeah, you are doing completely by feel because you can't see anything past the shades and your hand.

Has anyone figured out the easy way in their Jayco to install the MCD Duo shades? I keep thinking I need to take the valance off first but I don't even see how the valance is put on and if it is screws at the top, then I don't see how I could get past the shades once they are installed.

Any ideas?

Thanks,

When I put our shades in I had the same problem. All I did was put the back side in first and then push that toward the wall and push up the front. It does not take much. Things have to lined up for it to work.
