We are going to Camp Dearborn in Michigan. First time there but 2nd trip of the year. We are going to the Henry Ford Museum, Greenfield Village, and hopefully tour the Ford River Rouge Plant where they make F150s. We are taking a half day on Friday so we hopfully do ok on our drive around the horn (what I call the southern end of Lake Michigan through Gary, IN) as I-80/94 can back up horribly on holiday weekends.

Piece of cake. 60' long nose to tail, and under 11,000 lbs. for the two trailers combined. That's why I bought a 26.5' lightweight 5th wheel. Pin weight is under 1,200 lbs. This setup is only about 1,000 lbs. heavier than my loaded toyhauler TT was, with an 1,100 lb. tongue weight.

No "combat" camping for us this weekend. We live close to Brown County State Park with 450 sites, all taken. I can't even fathom the wait at the dump station come Monday. Safe travels to all.

We won't be camping this weekend either...well at least not with the camper. We'll be going to our cabin on Tug Hill to avoid the mad rush at campgrounds. From what I heard, everything is booked up. We'll head out next weekend when things calm down a bit. Just want to sit by a lake this weekend with a fishing pole.

Everyone stay safe and enjoy the holiday!

We are heading to Camp Taylor near the Delaware Water Gap! We will be writing an article about the trip for Jayco's website on the Jayco Journal.

Leaving Friday for Rodanthe on Hatteras Island for our maiden voyage with the pop-up. Surfing(waves maybe Sunday) Hopefully hook a cruising Red, or a schooling bluefish from the beach, jar of peach shine, Beach campfire, friends and sun. Been a long time coming, let me tell you. Everyone have a great Memorial Day, remember why we celebrate, and make it home safe!

Campgrounds are full; traffic will be unbearable (1/2 the people drunk and/or in too big a hurry to "enjoy" themselves. Staying home to re-stain the deck & clean the carpets in the "Stick & Bricks". It goes on the market first thing Tuesday. Then it's "Full Time Heaven"!

We have been camping for 8 days and are headed home tomorrow. All the CG's we have visited are full this weekend and we usually leave them for the long weekend campers.

Way too many folks here worried about full campgrounds. You guys need to step away from CG's and give boon docking, or dispersed, camping a shot. No crowds, neighbors or any of those other annoying things. RV's are fully self contained, so fill the water tank, charge the batteries, stock the fridge and get away from it all for the weekend. I have no use for campgrounds 99% of the time.

Heading to Far Horizons 49er RV resort in Plymouth, CA. It will be very crowded but I am looking forward to getting away and enjoying our new trailer.
