Milenco mirror keep falling off

I have a Jeep Grand Cherokee and the edges of the car mirror is beveled. 3 times a mirror has fallen off. I check every time I stop and tighten them but they eventually kind of slide off. I tried a bungee cord but that did not work either. My daughter has had a Milenco fall of her Jeep Grand also.

Any ideas of how to secure them without screws? Maybe a load strap? Any ideas appreciated.

We have a pair we bought for our Tundra and they never moved. The mirror housing was single thickness plastic with no lip. We traded for an F150 that has a double wall(?) mirror housing, and 120 miles into the first trip with them a dump truck came past us on a narrow county road, and blew the drivers side mirror off. It survived with only one spot of road rash on the arm. The thick mirror housing that softened when the temperature got warmer seemed to be the reason.

I couldn't come up with an appropriate way to secure them, so we bought a pair of K-Source Snap & Zap mirrors. I'm impressed with the solid mounting. The only negative is they don't stick out as far as the Milencos did.

When I towed with my f150 I used the snap & zap as well. I liked them really secure had cut outs for turn signals and puddle lights also the power fold still worked when attached.
