Mods to quiet A/C?

My TT has a Dometic 13.5 brisk air 2 ac. Although there is a slight difference in fan speed on each setting the low speed still seems to much and the fan is loud. Anyone come up with any mods to quiet them down a bit?

That's about it, just the nature of an RV air conditioner.

Sure seemed like my previous TT which was a 98 prowler and had the same model was a lot quieter and the fan ran slower. Maybe it's a figment of my imagination since it been over a year since I slept with that one running.

I bet you thought I was really trying to be a smart ass about the ear plugs but let me tell ya that in 6 years of talking to other campers about that awful noise “ ear plugs “ seem to be their best solution. The distance from the fan blades to its delivery point is to short for the addition of a sound deadening material to be effective.

We had our first a/c unit in 77 and I don't remember any of them being quiet. The only one that was less noisy was the 2015 with the Whisper Quiet system.

Not at all. In fact I prefer the white noise of a fan to outside noises. The wife is the one that doesn't like the fan noise and hates ear plugs. Just trying to keep everyone happy

A company named WackO Products makes some RV quieting kits. No personal experience except I wished they made one my model. After 6 different RVs with AC not one of them could be considered quiet. No tv, radio or real conversation has ever been possible with any RV I owned.

So I was successful in reducing the noise by 10 decibels for about $6. The decibel app read 59 before the mod and 49-50 after. Took a 600 micron filter and cut it to fit the inlet and outlet. Made a big difference. Hopefully it's not hindering airflow but it doesn't seem to be. The inlet I just sandwich between the existing filter. The outlet is just sitting in there.

I cannot tell the difference in fan speeds LOW V HI. Is it me or are the the same? Is there a way to check the voltage to be sure?

I bought the Wacko A/C Silencer kit and it helped tremendously. I can talk or watch tv in the trailer now. I now see this is an old post from June.
