Mold on Awning
First outing of the season - quick weekend trip to refimiliarize. Rolled out the awning for the first time and noticed what appears to be a little mold on the underside. Looking for suggestions on how to deal with that. Scrub with a chlorox solution...?

You can use Clorox. Just make sure you rinse well so the stitching doesn't deteriorate.

Do you have a garden sprayer? Mix a cup of clorox and a couple shots of Dawn detergent in aboout 2 gals water. Spray the awning roll it up for about 20 minutes, open it up and rinse.
Wear old clothes and watch your eyes.

Maybe even wear a shower cap or old hat.

this method is awesome. did it to a really nasty awning had all kinds of mildew in it. sprayed it, rolled it up, unrolled after 20min, and it honestly looked brand new.

Wear some grubby clothes, too. That clorox water will drip, and can bleach white spots into your clothes.
Just saw Grumpy already mentioned this one. Oh well, it's something worth repeating.

My awning has color on it. Will it bleach the color?

No, it's vinyl. I used it on striped awnings for years.
