Munchies.....help!!

Not those kind of munchies!

Anybody have good ideas for non fat snacks to eat while on the road??

I need to snack while I drive (I'm alone) and I have 5 - 300 mile days to do. That is a lot for me so I'm gonna possibly need a variety of snacks!

Ideas?

Thanks!!!

Interesting question I would suggest fruit and nuts...healthy one-handed snacks Maybe smoke yourself up some beef jerky in your cool smoker

I am a big fan of seedless grapes. Nothing to unwrap or wasted plastic wrappers to deal with with crumbs from nab packages. We get them in the ziplock bags and prewash them, if needed before our trips. Plus they work for the digestive system when the uncommon practice of sitting for longer periods of time occurs while on the highway.;}

I have come to love roasted pecans. We also carry protein bars. Bring water and other fruit drinks too!

Pistachios. I kind of split them with my teeth so it keeps me busy and I don't eat as many.

If I'm really dragging I'll eat a few M&M's with peanuts or straight up whole coffee beans 1 at a time, just be sure to have extra water available for the coffee beans, I will either swallow the chewed up beans or spit them out depending on my mood. They both give a boost of caffeine.

2x on the seedless grapes. I also love sunflower seeds still in the shell. Forces me to eat them slower.

I'll echo the jerky and Trail mix. Big bag, open when I get in and have it in a spot I can easily reach, like in my lap or the centre consol next to the Iced Coffee.

Snyder's big hard pretzels (110 calories, no fat) and Dutch licorice sweet cats (5 calories, 0 fat) are our main driving snacks. Used to be twizzlers and peanuts, but trying to be healthier now. : )

I enjoy mixed nuts but I mix my own mixture. I mix equal parts of cashews, roasted almonds, walnuts, pistachios (shelled) and I do add some peanuts but not much. Grapes and cheese is also another good snack for me.

I have hypoglycemia and need to keep snacks in my car. Trail mix works good for me because of the quick energy/sugar from the M&M's and raisins, and nuts for protein. I also will grab a bag of Combos. If I'm driving at night (in general, not necessarily RV), my go to is a chocolate bar and coffee. Dried fruit like others have suggested is also good!
