You will be fine Joe. When I bought my 5'er I drove to Arizona and picked it up, drove it back to SoCal, parked in front of the house. Not once backing up since I hitched up. We loaded up the 5'er, drove to Yellowstone NP. Now I still had not once backed it up, now I was faced with the unthinkable, having to back up in the campground with a bunch of folks in it, and I also had never unhitched. Long story short, I felt like everyone came out to watch the newbie, they popped a cold one, and I am sure they had popcorn. Took 5 tries, but I got it, and boy was traffic backed up, created a traffic jam. Then came part 2, unhitching. I broke the cotter pin on the hitch release handle, didn't have a spare, meanwhile I am still blocking traffic. Found a nail on the ground after about 5 minutes, and figured out I needed to see some air between the hitch and the pin. Took me about 25 minutes in all.
The good news is, everyone was patient, no one complained, and I still had a good time. Enjoy yourself, enjoy the nice weather, and don't let anything bother you. Take your time, get it right.
