Myrtle Beach

Fun in the sun, and the rain. Making the most out of why ever comes our way. My boy, one of the reasons we are camping, is autistic. Loves the outdoors and the water, as you see. My daughter and a friend. And us.Never did the "show your mug" so this is my first pic post here it goes

We stayed at ocean lakes. It is a busy place. It is definitely not for solitude camper . Lots of Jayco's. 5'ers all the way to a pup. It was a great time

Good observation. Anyone wanting camping solitude will not be heading to MB anyhow! Exception may be Willow Tree Resort near Longs, SC.

My fears at those Resort camp sites around Ocean lakes- Lakewood- etc are the many "very quiet" running golf carts. They are everywhere for sure.... You certainly take your life in your own hands trying to just wander down the roads between the trailers... Never hear them coming up behind you...

Golf carts are EVERYWHERE at Ocean Lakes - 24-7!!! That's the only place I've ever had something stolen while camping -- a couple of beers from a cooler I left out overnight. Likely just kids making an easy score (I kinda felt like an enabler!), doesn't change my opinion of the cg, though. Still better to have my rv crammed into a cg, than for me to be crammed into some condo or hotel room. My boys love the warm, calm water down there. O.C., MD has much rougher, cold (to them) water.

Cypress camping resort just opened last June which is located on the IC Waterway just a couple miles west of Ocean Lakes. I was surprised to see a full page write up on it in the recent Good Sam Highways magazine which gave it a 10/10/10 rating. Ocean Lakes can get very crowded in the summertime from what I seen in the past (even got lost in there once )
