Mystery light switch
I just purchased a 2014 40BHS Trailer. I've done my best to figure out most of the functionality, except one thing. The is a standard home light switch in the kitchen area beside the sliding patio door. I cannot figure out what this switch does. Can anyone help me track down the purpose of this mystery switch?

These are only guesses....porch light or scare light with maybe a burned out bulb? Going back to 1996, our 33' Fleetwood had a switch in the kitchen area that turned on the 110v side of the water heater. It was all the way at the rear of the TT under a wardrobe. Maybe one of these will help.

Here is a link to the 2014 models. Maybe you will find the answer in here:

The only thing I haven't tested, when I think about it, is the outside electrical outlets. I'm going to keep looking. It has to do something.

I've said this before and I'll say it again... Just how expensive would it be for Jayco (or anyone else, for that matter) to simply label their switches? Would it actually bankrupt them to do so?

I would say since it is a home type switch it is for 110 volts. Most all of our outside lights are 12 volts.

In our 2017 Bungalow BHQS, we have the same switch by the patio door. It controls the small rope light under the counter in front of the sink. Not sure what its intended purpose is, but we use it as a night light when we have guests or when we go out and know we'll be back after dark.
Someone asked the same question recently. They stated that it wasn't connected properly so when they tried the switch, the rope light did not light up. You might have the same issue.
If you have a rope light, you'll have to look under the counter. Sitting at the table or the couch, I can't see the rope light, I actually have to look under the counter to see it. It's tucked under the lip of the counter.

just a guess here but in homes we have whats called a "half hot" receptacle for switching a lamp.
you would have to plug into each receptacle and test.

I've actually sorted out the ceiling fans and the receptacles. I've never hear of the rope light, but I'll take a look tomorrow when I'm at the lake.

We live in a Bungalow and on the door side towards the back up high there should be a 110 recepticle, That should be the switch that controls it.
