Welcome to the forum. I can't help with your question, but I'm sure some others will chime in to talk about their experiences buying an RV. Good luck!

I bought from Tradewinds in Clio twice now, as has my partner and a couple of his family members. Typical dealer in some ways but most of the sales staff is good and not too pushy. Tom, the owner, is very involved. They are great for letting you explore units on the lot. We both got between 30% and 35% off MSRP when it was said and done.

Service Dept. is fair. They are a good alternative to the big boys (camping world and general RV). I would definitely go back again.

We ordered our latest rig through them (Tradewinds). Ditto everything he said, plus what I thought was a great number on our trade.

Felt much better doing business there, as opposed to General RV which is 3 miles from my house. I hate that place for anything other than to pick up something from the parts department when I need it now.

Overall we were/ have been treated pretty good with our purchase from Terry Town in Grand Rapids. Tried to make a deal at Tradewinds, but were about $1500-$2k off, and they wouldn't budge. Would have been nice since we are about 20 minutes from TW's. Terry Town was very little negotiating needed to get about 32% off if I remember right (be two yrs this July).

I have hear good things about Haylette, and the Jayco dealer (Hamilton's I think, drawing a blank at the moment) in Saginaw. Mgr at my local Gill Roy's Hardware store has had great things to say about them.

FYI: Everything I have found points to Tradewinds, Terry Town, Hamiltons, possibly the dealer in Traverse City, and Gillette's (I would drive a 1k miles past them before dealing with them) all owned by the same parent company. I have heard there is actually a total of 9 or 10 dealers total owned by the parent co, just not sure who the others are.

Good luck in your search!!!

I got a pretty good deal at Terrytown rv in Grand Rapids, I have had really good service with some of the small warranty issues that we had, they were quick to get me in and back out camping.
