Need a new potable drinking hose... Suggestions?

In the past I have always used the 25 foot white Camco hose. It worked ok but was very prone to kinking and I am not big on the stamped steel ends or the plastic female end.

I have been looking at the camco premium (the blue one) hose but looking at the reviews on Amazon it is hit or miss. A ton of good reviews but, an alarming amount of bad (just like the white hoses reviews)

Looking for suggestions based on your experiences with any potable hoses.

Never had an issue with the blue hose and I leave it connected for months.

Another question I have gotten mixed answers, has anyone used the expanding hoses for non potable water? I carry a regular hose also, but would rather use the expandable ones to save space and weight. It appears the DAP hose may be the best well made one.

The DAP is best if it is not relied on for a lot of use, the hose section is prone to failure as it is very thin. For a secondary hose for the RV is perfect as it fits right back into its container. For heavy use around home, I would pass.

If you were to get one, be sure to get the professional (or what ever it is called) version with the better ends.

The Ohunu expandable hose has way better reviews though. It can be bought for about $25 shipped on Ebay. It's $35 on Amazon.

Although all of the expanding hoses seem to be hit or miss for quality.

There are 'non-kink' RV water hoses. Have you checked into those?

I never tried one because the ordinary RV hose worked fine for me.

Or you can go to the RV Water Filter Store and get a custom hose that will last you through every RV you own and will own in the future.

X2, had mine in use for a total of about 27 weeks with at least 25 moves and never had a kink in the hose. It's only 25' long, I just roll it out then reverse it when I'm done and screw the ends together. Ends are fine and tight and it's the same one you have from camping world.

The hose I ended up with (and like a lot) after using just about everything else is a coiled hose from Water Right, Inc. It isn't cheap but it coils in cold weather has quality fittings and doesn't kink. I got the 50' because it only stretches to about 35' or so but they do have a 75' available. After looking at these I really like them. Can you tell me about how big the 50' is when coiled, how much space they take up? I like that they are safe for drinking water too.

I put it in one of those 26 X 15 X 6 plastic tubs you get at WallyWorld. It's the container I used to use for the old hose and there is enough space left over for the water filter, regulators and a plastic container of Clorox disinfectant wipes (I use those to clean off the water spigots at campgrounds). It could fit into a smaller container. Last fall while breaking camp in 40 degree weather this hose coiled up perfectly. I got tired of fighting the regular "white" hose that would never coil up in cold weather. The only problem I've had is that I got the green color and sometimes the guy cutting the grass doesn't see it .
