New 2020 Eagle drinking water System

Hi All
My dealer just sent me an enhancement sheet for the 2020 eagle TT and it notes a jayco exclusive drinking water system (5 gallons). Anyone have any additional information on this?
Thanks

I have the same issue there’s a pump under my sink for it it feeds my ice maker in my fridge and fresh water to a faucet but it won’t prime and I have no info on it

I have the system on my 321RSTS. It works great (but the pump is kind of noisy). We didn’t have an issue with priming so you may need to check the tubing for leaks at connection points.

I will say there is zero documentation on this system in our Jayco pouch [emoji849]. I’m a product design engineer, and my biggest gripe about our rig is the missing, vague, out of date, and just plain incorrect documentation.

The best thing to do is find the product label on the pump and look the company up on the internet.

I don’t have an ice maker. The pump only turns on when we activate the faucet lever. It only took a few seconds to prime the line and get water to flow.

I wonder if you could easily disconnect the ice maker line and cap it off to test the faucet side. If that side works then the issue will be on the fridge side.

Good luck!

2020 Seismic

Thank you for the info I was going to troubleshoot it today starting at the pump I haven’t found and water anywhere that the hoses are but did find a loose fitting behind a cabinet to the ice maker wish Jayco would do some quality control and like you said the info in your packet is horrible I’ve been able to find most things on line with a long search but this had me stumped

Is there a separate spigot for it next to the regular faucet. I saw that on jayco.com but thought it was a hot water dispenser.

Yes that’s the dispenser. There is a 5 gallon jug under the sink and a pump mounted under the countertop. Apparently if you have a fridge with an ice maker it draws water from the jug to make ice. I have the Dometic RV fridge so I don’t have an ice maker.

I can't see the advantage of such a "drinking water system"! Just more to leak and another pump to burn up They're just trying to sell the bling.

It’s definitely a gadget but it’s nice to fill up 5 gallons of “good” drinking water

Being full time, I did overkill on our water system. A canister filter from the water source, then a water softener, then the whole house canister filter. Great water!

Sounds like an awesome system, but hard for us weekend warriors to justify the cost for it [emoji16]

For occasional users the whole system is about $225 which is not bad.

I’m with Al and have a similar set up. Water softeners are like $200-250 and easy to set up and use. If you have the residential fridge remember there is yet another filter there too.

We buy bottled water too but frequently refill the bottles from the filtered fridge dispenser. We buy a lot of those single serve Crystal Light flavor packets for the water bottles so it’s like having a beverage center. At the old house we had a pretty sophisticated RO water filter & dispenser that we liked but this set up is every bit as clean and tasty.

I’d take that 5 gal tank with counter dispenser, find a way to chill it and run a Chardonnay tap....

Yes my 5 gallon feeds the ice maker and water dispenser. The pump only turns on when the ice make is refilling or you are dispensing water from the fridge or the water spigot. We did find below the stove a valve where a 1/2 inch water line connects to a 1/4 per line. That connection was leaking due to the wrong ferrule was being used. Jayco installed a brass ferrule when it should have been a plastic with a copper insert. That fixed the leak and allowed us to prime the line and it has been working fine ever since. Oh there is also a valve connection under the sink connected to the ped line that goes from the 5 gallon jug to the pump and then to the fridge. Hope some of this helps.

We can get water to the frig from the system but our ice maker simply will not work. Any ideas? Yes...it’s turned on behind the canister but nothing.

In our fridge there is a switch in the freezer that turns on the ice maker. I'm sure you've tried that but figured I should throw it out there.

How long have you had the ice maker in the "on" position? If I remember correctly, when we first used our ice maker it took about 24 to 48 hours before it started pumping ice out...........now it goes non-stop
