Has anyone out there in rv land found out how to pair the 2nd gen fire stick with the Furrion tv controls. I got the remote to pair with the stick but it doesn’t have Furrion listed as a tv maker!! Hmm! So, the fire stick remote will not control the on/off or volume buttons on the tv. Not a huge deal but it was promoted as an advantage to only have to use one remote.
I believe the Fire Stick remote with the IR blaster comes only with the 4K stick, not with the 2nd gen. In any case, it is a RF remote, whereas most TVs use IR connection to the remote. Therefore, the FireTV remote uses an IR blaster to translate the RF signal to the IR signal the TV can understand. Therefore, there is no "pairing".
THANK YOU SOOO MUCH! I had to go to settings and pretend that i was pairing a new tv but when I selected Vizio it paired perfectly and now i can control the tv with the fire stick remote!
How did you find that info from Amazon?
I did a google search on firestick remote and furion tv
