New home for the Empty Nest
We're building our dream retirement home on the lake - it's almost finished.
Of course we also had to build a new home for "The Empty Next" our Jayco 5th wheel.
Our house may not be finished yet - but the Jayco's is (except for some mulch and other tidying up of the landscaping.
Sorry about the sideways photo - and yes, that's my finger :-).

I was thinking of building something similar at my nephews storage.
Do you have an estimate of costs?
Did you have drawings or simple enough to just pencil out the build?
Thanks,
Doug

Looks great. I'd love to have something to park my camper in. Maybe someday when my little ones are grown and out on their own.

Doug,
I paid right over $20k. That included grading, water, 50a power, sewer (all of which had to come some distance) and a structure that matched the appearance of my new house (same siding, colors, roof, etc.).
For comparison, it would have cost me about $10k to do it with a metal structure (Carolina Carports).
No drawings, my contractor hired his Deck subcontractor who just envisioned it and built it from his head.
The only thing I told them was 35ft long (my rv is 30) and 18ft wide (to have room for slideouts) and 13ft interior height (comfort factor for a 12ft high 5th wheel).

Thanks much Buddy.
I was looking at some steel carport structures.
14' high, 12' wide and 24' long just to park under.
I was in the price range of $2400. No grading or power required.
That sure is a nice setup, but above my pay grade :-)

That's a nice addition to your new home. Those loooong 6 x 6's probably add to the cost also. Many don't figure the benefit they get by keeping the sun and rain off the camper when sitting in their yard or not in use.
We had Carolina Carports install 2 over 10 years ago and they are very handy.
The cost back then was around 6k.
