New Jayco Build Timeline

My brother purchased a 32BHDS on December 15 and they gave him an estimated build time of 16 weeks which would put delivery around April 15.

What have been your recent build timelines?

I ordered a new Jay Flight two days ago, dealer told me an April delivery, I'll contact him in a few weeks to find out if he can provide a way for me to track the build. Our first trip is Memorial Day weekend, so an April delivery is good timing.

With the recent RV sales boom some members have reported wait times on ordered units exceeding the initial dealer estimate by a considerable amount.

This was the reason why we didn't wait for one of the local RV shows to order. Fingers crossed that our new TT is delivered to us by early-May at the latest.

Driving to Iowa To pick it up, if its a little after that its ok, Not much on Cold and snow.. we ordered what we wanted ,looked at all the local places just not what we wanted , Saved Several Thousand $$$$$ Placing our order from RVone , if you can stand the wait, its worth it .

We ordered a new 355MBQS the beginning of November. Have been told the build is late April with a delivery of early May. Talked to Jayco a few weeks ago, they said they are adding a new line beginning of January for the Eagle line and that mine may be built there which could move up the build date. I'm not sure if having our camper built on the new line is good or not.

We ordered our Eagle 330RSTS in June and finally got it at the end of October. A day shy of 19 weeks!

According to Jayco's promo video they build 8-9 units per day, which in my view is too fast. Based on the fit, finish & debris in the unit they need to slow down.

Sorry for your extended wait!

I would rather wait a little longer for ours, I expect Jayco Quality !
If ours takes a little longer that's fine....

Order placed Oct.3 for a NP 387. Jayco rep called, not the dealer, and said he had a confirmed off the line date of Jan.19. We were originally told we would have it before Christmas but not a big deal. As previous poster said take your time and get it right. I can vacuum sawdust but can't fix major defects. Hope everybody has a good experience.

When I ordered my 2016 on November 8th of 2015, I was told 8-12 weeks. The unit arrived in 10.5 weeks. Since then, I've read about multiple delivery disappointments here on the forum where deliveries went well beyond 12 weeks. At least Jayco is now upfront and estimating more realistic wait times on orders. I would expect that rigs ordered in late 2016 will make the estimated dates. Once the RV show season kicks off (NOW!), all bet are off. It would not surprise me if many January orders don't make memorial day delivery.

Don't mean to be a downer, but longer wait times will not result in any quality improvements unless they improve the QC process.

It's simply a matter of demand. Bigger backlog = longer wait times.
They're not building them any slower/better. I would guess the opposite.

But they can still have better quality at the current build pace. Slower does not necessarily mean better. They need more/better QC personnel on the production floor!

Just received an update directly from Jayco on the WhiteHawk we have on order. We ordered last October, originally scheduled for production this April. Now is scheduled for production early February. Actually not too happy to hear this since now our new TT will most likely start it's life out on messy salt covered highways as it's transported from Indiana to NY in the winter.

I was just told by a dealer that a new incentive from Jayco to only carry Jayco's and nothing else will provide dealers with much larger incentives, he said many dealers decided to drop other brands they sell and just sell Jayco's and that is why they are taking longer than normal to get one. Dealers are having to order a lot more inventory than Jayco is accustomed to building at one time. However, he said if a customer orders one they get priority over a dealer just ordering a stock unit for their lot. He said if I ordered today I would take delivery toward the end of April, I hope to decide for sure by the middle of this month if I am going to Order a new Eagle 321RSTS.

We placed an order yesterday for a 32BHDS. The dealer said that we're looking at 6-8 weeks out. Not sure if that's realistic or not. So that puts us right at the end of March. But an April delivery or even May would be better for us. We're hoping at the latest May delivery. We've never ordered an TT before, so I'm not exactly sure what to expect.

We ordered our TT between Christmas and New Years Day, we were intially told delivery would be in April some time. Our salesperson called last week saying our TT will be built in February.
