New JOF site times out

I need some help on this, being somewhat computer illiterate. On other websites, such as Tweetys, Google News, Virginia Campers, and others, I can go from page to page within the site in just a few seconds each time. But on the new JOF, it takes close to a minute each time I want to go to another page within the site. My computer frequently times out, and it is very frustrating to have to start over and try again, sometimes several times, just to go, for example, from General Jayco Chat to a specific thread within GJC. And I didn't have that problem on the old JOF site.

What am I doing wrong on the new site ? Or what can I do to fix the problem ? I hope some of you computer whizzes out there can point me in the right direction, in simple terms, please.

Thanks in advance.

Not a computer whiz but I wonder if it is your browser. This forum loads fast for me on Chrome and IE.

Crabman - would my browser react differently on different sites ? Like Parcany says, other sites load quickly using the same browser, but the JOF site is really slow, every time.

One thing I have learned here is anything is possible and sometimes folks get varying experiences with browsers, computers, IP service and speed, and websites. I have asked my mod buds to see if they have any ideas.

Please try deleting your temp files (cache) and any cookies associated with the site and see if that helps. My guess is that you either have a broken or out dated cookie and so the page isn't loading completely.
