Bunks are the way to go. We do not have them but we have the fold down couch. Most of the time it is just the two of us. When my daughter comes she sleeps on the couch. The couple of times we had to use the dinette as a bed were a pain. But if you never use the dinette (some people don't) then you are OK. We use our dinette for breakfast.

let me expand on this, the bunks give a place for them to keep their stuff, back packs, clothes, toys general stuff. Without bunks this winds up on the dinette table, coach and main floor.

If had little ones, we would all want a bunkhouse.

I wish I could have gotten bunks but I wasn't able to do it. This is my first TT and I am towing alone with my kids. Anything bigger than the 22Y would scare me to pull. I had to make the sacrifice and go for the smaller camper. They can toss their stuff into my queen room if they need to. I put a non refundable deposit on the 2010 Jay Feather 22Y today and my decision was all based on towing. I have a 2001 Tundra and I just don't want to go heavy or close to my tow limits. According to the inside door sticker of the truck I have a GVWR of 6000lbs. I also don't have the money to buy new so I had to find something older. I hope I made the right choice. I am a little worried about lack of storage space.

No, the trailer tracks really well behind my truck, no sway issues at all

I have a 2001 Tundra V8. The Trailer weighs more than my truck. LOL Will it still be ok without sway?

Get a WDH (weight distributing hitch) with built in sway control. I really like my Blue Ox WDH but here are other ones too. Better safe than sorry...
