Just drove cross country with our 2 last summer. I think they liked the trip in the RV as much if not more then we did. Every time they walk by the rig they want to go inside...

A pet first aid kit has some different things like non-stick bandages, more gauze, a roll of what I call "horse bandage", milk of magnesia, 3% hydrogen peroxide, digital thermometer, eye dropper or syringe (no needle type), a tick remover tool, a muzzle and leash.

Info you can include in it are your vet's phone number, emergency clinics for the state you're going to, and the number for the poison control center.

Another item we found helpful is when we are staying at a cg for any time other than a overnight stop, we locate the nearest emergency vet and have their number handy.

Another resource is other campers in the park with pets and their experience with local vet's.

Once Jazzy, our part Terrier mix picked up a hot dog or some meat that someone cast on the ground and got deathly sick. We had her in the vets for 2 days on IV's that probably saved her life. Now we are very careful what they pick up.
