No longer a Jayco owner

DW and I packed up our 2008 Eagle 314BHDS yesterday and the dealer hauled it away. They left in its place a loaded 2013 Palomino Sabre 34REQS-6 on our seasonal site. Not needing the BH anymore we began our quest for something with more living space. We're talking fireplace, dual recliners, table & chairs instead of a booth dinette, etc. I really was liking the Eagle 351RLTS. Something about that L shaped sofa gave it a real homey feeling. Nobody closeby had one to see/walk thru so I hauled DW on a 2 hr trip, one way. She didn't like the kitchen layout or the dual bathroom doors. We kept looking and looking and looking. As soon as we walked into the Sabre we knew 'that was the one'.

I'll miss all the help, advice, humor, friendlyness, and everything else I've enjoyed about being a member of this fantastic forum. My personal thanks go out to healthi and all the mods who really go out of their way to make this forum what it is. Hopefully I made a descent contribution and was able to add a little help and advice along the way. I will proabably come back and visit now & then, at least till we get to a million .

Wiscampsin, I pulled up your particular Sabre model. Nice! I can see why you and the DW went for it. However, you have to stay in touch with us here...you are like a good friend to us at JOF. Look at your posts, 3490. I'm sure you will help us try to get that million....we will need all the help we can get.

DON'T GO!
Do you know hard it is to type each letter in caps with one finger (one hand is holding the I-pad) just one more way to say we will miss not seeing your name pop up! Don't make me put a sad face on now!

Congrats on the new TT but don't go anywhere. We wouldn't be complete without you.

Sorry to hear you are going to the "DARK SIDE". I guess you can be a lurker.

So BTW how did this thread become [ factory entertainment center ] ?

I don't know. Somehow my OP was 'moved' and it ended up here. Maybe I made somebody mad.

I think it happened unintentionally... if you tell me what the original thread name was, I'll fix it.

Stick around! You have much to offer this forum regardless of your new trailer brand.

BTW, not sure what happened with the renaming but no one here is mad.

Congratulations on your new trailer. It will be interesting to read your thoughts on the new trailer if you choose to share them with us.I remember a salesman describing them as high end but unfortunately they only had a few smaller models so it was hard to tell. Thanks for your time.

Well it's been a week and I've spent 5 nights in the new 5er. Got a few mods done. Usual stuff like vent covers, mud dauber screens on fridge, HWH, and furnace vents. DW wanted an extra shelf in the medicine cabinet. The fit and finish of our new 5er is great. All appliances operating as they should. No problems so far, knock wood. It rained real hard one night. I spent about an hour the next morning looking for any leaks and glad to report I found none. So far so good!

This is the DW speaking and I totally understand your wife's concern about the kitchen on the 351RLTS. We convinced Jayco to sell us the mobile cabinet that comes with another model and now we have the perfect rv. I sent in our customer survey with the strong suggestion that Jayco offer this as an option on the rv. Let's hope they listen.
