Norcold Refrigerator Locks/Latch

The slide lock on the door, is it supposed to lock the fridge shut for travel, or it just there to slide over to lock both doors open to let air circulate when it's not in use?

If it is there to lock, how do you adjust the door so they will catch?

Its purpose is to hold the door open when not in use.
