Nose high
Is anyone out there having trouble with the new eagle HT 5th wheels sitting High in the back of your pick up truck? I’m not really sure what I can do to change things and still maintain adequate bed rail clearance. I drive a 2016 ram 2500 and have a 2018 eagle HD 29.5. My truck is completely stock yet even with the trailer sitting on it the truck is level, but the nose of the trailer that’s almost 10 inches higher in the front then at the rear bumper. It seems to me that the only solution is raising the trailer about 5 inches at the axle which seems excessive to me?

Wow, 10 inches high is way out of whack. My similar rig (see below) ends up with the front a couple of inches high, and that's with 18 inch tires on the truck and 16s on the trailer.
I agree with you that going up 5 inches on the trailer axles is excessive. I would be worried about being top heavy.
Good luck in getting it resolved.

Mew0050, there are a ton of posts on here concerning this exact issue. From taller tires on the FW to adding sub-frames. I moved the FW springs to the lower hole on the spring shackles, raised the pin box to the highest level, and lowered the FW hitch to it's lowest level. Ended up with about 5.5" inches above the tailgate and 6.5" above the rails at the front. Still nose high but acceptable to me.
Check my signature for my rig.

I would measure from the front and rear frame rails to the ground (equal distance fore/aft from the axles for each measurement) for the most accurate measurements.
FWIW, we were looking at a few 5th wheel Eagle HT's late last year. According to our measurements, our '16 Ram 3500 (single rear wheel), which sits slighly lower than a 2500, would have resulted in an 7-8" nose-high scenario---even with 2-3" of rear end sag.
As for possible (partial) solutions, sometimes there are two attachment points for the spring hangers. If it's not already in the higher position you could move it to that position. If your Eagle has the 15" tires, you could upgrade to 16" rims and larger tires.
Outside of that, a possible option is to have spacer tubes welded between your suspension and the frame. However, I can't imagine the aesthetics of having the trailer riding an additional 3"-6" above the tires.
Good luck.

Knock on wood, haven’t lost the ac yet
Raising the trailer shouldn’t change my high point I don’t think, the trailer is already sitting high so if I raised (lowered the axles) seems like the wouldn’t be a change in overall height??? Am I missing something?
This 5th wheel Buisness has taken camping to an all new level of complication!!!!

I agree that any change in height would be very small.
And for a reference point, my HT is 12' 8" high at the front AC.

If there would be a change in height, it would be very small. My 27.5 RKDS is slightly less than 12'8" to the top of the front A/C when hooked-up.

Mew:
Did you answer whether or not you have 16" tires on your HT?

FWIW, our 29.5BHOK is abou 6" high at the front and the top of the front AC is just over 13ft. Yes, I am careful about overpasses and overhangs.
