Followed Seann's instructions and the battery is back. Bought a "Battery Tender" brand battery charger/tender. It took three days to charge but it finally made it. Water in the battery was still full so I did not add any. Thanks for the advice.

Just FYI. Most if not all jaycos equipped with battery from the factory have a built in 1.5amp charger that charges the battery while on shore power orconnected to TV. I wouldn't depend on it to restore a dead battery and have to believe battery tender chargers and the likes are better.
Just thought I'd throw that out there so folks know what's built-in.

I have 2 6V batteries on my Jayco. This is the first time I removed the batteries to keep in my garage during the winter.
I removed the batteries but they are still connected to each other, I didn't remove the cable.
Should I buy one of the item on the link below?
It is 12V but as I will keep the batteries connected in series, this should work, right?

Thanks!

Two six volt batteries in series should work just fine with a 12 volt maintainer. You might look at this one. I have used this one successfully. It will do 6 or 12 volt batteries and automatically set itself for the proper voltage.

I'm thinking of running power out to where I park our TT and leave it plugged in for the winter. Good idea? or bad idea?
