Oh what a dirty camper!

I spent the day getting the old camper ready to sell so we can make room for the new one. As I recalled it, the camper was actually fairly clean..
Reality check.. a full 8 hour day today, washing out every cupboard and disassembling and washing fridge and stove, bathroom etc. with another long day planned tomorrow to do the windows and blinds... it is truly amazing how dirty they get.. even just being stored.
Not to mention the outside which needs washing and waxing... I am coping with all this by visualizing the new unit sitting in the driveway right where this one is...
Right now I am finally taking a break while I run our dirty RV-Q racks through my self cleaning oven.. at least the oven is giving me a hand with this..lol

I know what you mean. We spend an entire day cleaning the tent trailer when we were getting ready to sell it. I think because you are selling it you, you are more picky and trying to clean every nick and cranny. You want that first impression help sell the trailer. Good Luck! That cleaning should pay off when you sell it. The first things people notice is appearance... and if it's clean and smells good, you're way ahead.

I guess I am pretty anal...I clean mine pretty regularly. I hear RV folks take better care of their RV than their house and that is probably true! First RV we looked at was dirty on the inside and outside...we ran quickly. It will be well worth the trouble!

Exactly why after looking at at least 15 used(even dealers) we bought new.No one seemed to care that what they had for sale showed a total lack of being taken care of.If we had found one cleaned as you have done we would have pulled it home.You will get top dollar.

Thanks for the encouragement.. My hands are looking a little raw.. but at this point everything is sparkling.. and ready to go.. I included the matching dishes, and toss cushions.. because I am going with new colours and I need an excuse to buy new

of course you need new dishes to go with the new trailer well at least thats what I keep telling myself everytime I buy something new for our new trailer!

We spent some time looking at used TT's and found one that I really liked, but I could smell cigarettes with floral air freshener over it. I got extremely light headed as I have an allergy or sensitivity to smells. The salesperson said they could have everything "cleaned" but I really don't think it could of removed all of it. My hubster, very tired of looking, suggested we start looking at new models, which we got! So, a potential buyer will LOVE the clean smell!

When we sold our Prowler we cleaned everything. We even found things we hadn't seen in years. The neighbor took one look inside and said "We'll take it".

We just sold our 1998 Gulfstream that we took good care of and I cleanded very well before we sold it. The 2nd couple that looked at it said the camper looked very clean in the pictures on the internet ad. The took about 5 minutes to look it over inside and out and bought it. They couldn't believe how clean it was for its age. Your hard work will pay off with a quicker sale and a better price. Good Luck, tis the season to be selling a camper!

We have sold two pop ups and both times the people buying commented on how clean the camper was. This last time the people buying were talking about some of the dirty campers they had looked at. I think it shows how much care you have given to the camper.

We sold our ten year old Terry TT before getting the new Eagle. We always kepted it clean. The DW kept the inside clean and I would try to wash and wax the outside at least once a year. The dealer we bought from did not take trade ins so we sold it outright. The first couple that came to see it bought it. They had a litte boy that climbed into the trailer, sat on the couch, sniffed around a little bit, and said "is this new?". It made me feel good. I felt like giving the boy a ten spot.
