On the first day of Christmas...

It's that time again...

Christmas lists to be drawn up, wish lists for all, Amazon is paying overtime and our stock in International Paper is taking a healthy upswing (Who do you think makes all those cardboard boxes?

As campers, most of us already have our fair share of sweaters and warm woolly socks, so.. what would you YOU like to get, or give, this year?

It might be a gift for you, for a family member or camping buddy, or for the RV itself (Our Jayfeather gets more presents than anyone else)

And yes, I freely admit that I'm shamelessly trolling for ideas, but it seemed like a fun thread to start.

I love Christmas. I get to buy stuff I don’t need with money I don’t have.

Here's something your Jayfeather would like, and your back, too.

HitchGrip | Trailer Hitch Assistant | Horse Trailer Hitch Installation

One handed control of your hitch. I bought one a year or so before I shattered my arm. It saved the camping season that year.

I ordered myself a new TST507 TPMS for Christmas. No better gift than the one you buy for yourself!

So I was up on my roof last weekend, packing up and headed home. Don’t have slide covers so I was dodging tree branches with a broom getting all the crap off the slides. The guy next to me whipped out this little battery operated blower. Cleaned his sides, patio mat, steps, truck bed and his basement before loading it. So guess what’s now on my Xmas list.

If we are going to ask ,, ask big . On the first day of Christmas my wife gave to me a 45 ft. Prevost diesel pusher with a Lamborghini SUV behind it. Then she divorced me and took it with her. LOL

If we’re talking about guilty pleasures and if Jayco is not watching I would love a Montana fifth wheel (3811 MS)

We had our dealer install the Moryde steps on our FW. Our present to each other. Our dealer is very knowledgeable and does a great job taking care of us so last year and this year we will be treating the employees to a catered dinner right before their shutdown. Our gift to them for their excellent service.

That thing is awesome. I bought one after my back surgery an it has helped me tremendously. I built a wooden stand for my hitch so when I set the hitch down it stands upright just like it is in the receiver. I leave the handle on it so it's a straight pick up an install.

I want a set of recliners to replace the scissors couch in our Jay Feather. Also a stainless steel sink for it, a TPMS, a set of electric west coast mirrors for our TV, and a maid to clean the TT, prepare meals, and set up as well as other assigned duties.
Merry Christmas

Got a LONG list for the rig. Thankfully most of it is "nice to have"!

Near the top is a Solar setup and some new batteries. Snap pads for the hydraulic jack feet. Centramatic wheel balancers. TPMS system. New TV for the main living area. RecPro recliners in place of the uncomfortable and useless fold out couch. Digital T-stat for the bedroom. New toilet with elongated bowl. Track bars for the rear suspension. 5-Star tuning kit.

The problem is my annual upgrade/mod budget is not that much. And the budgeting department is reluctant to release funds to replace items that are currently functional, or upgrade items for which she feels the value is unclear.

More often than not, my gifts end up being modifications to our "Toys". More often than not, I'm actually okay with that...

That's strange, being it's the home website. Thanks for catching it. Here's the Hitchgrip on Amazon. It should be better for those that absolutely can't live without it.

Now that I've switched from an Andersen No-Sway to a Blue Ox that Hitch Grip is looking like a good deal. In addition to the heavier hitch the larger 2 1/2" solid shank isn't helping....

Also on the list are upgraded batteries (GC2 6volts) along with a 4-stage Boondocker converter/charger and Victron battery monitor. Would like to top the 12v upgrades off with a portable 200watt Renogy Solar suitcase. They're portable, so that should make it easier for Santa, right?

Happy Holidays everyone!

A trailer that is 16 feet long when pulling it but 40 foot when set up to camp with 5 slides.
