Hey Murff,
During our trip out west to Colorado, the cross winds were high enough to push out the stairs by the front and back doors. Truck/trailer handled beautifully, but those darn stairs. I looked in the side mirror, and saw that the stairs were down. Said, S@#$%, I forgot to put the stairs up. Pulled over and put them up. About 20 miles down the road the stairs were out again, told DW look in her mirror. She goes why are they out again. I said it can only be the cross wind. Got a few bungee cords, put them on the stairs and that was that!
That night, tornadoes went across the state around us. I moved the TT to an open spot next to the concrete bathrooms in the CG just in case. No problems that night, but on the interstate there were semi's on their sides along the road. We were ok, just a LOT of wind that night.
Keep an eye on your weather app while heading west through Oklahoma and Nebraska, and set storm alerts if you can.
