On the road again

We are on the road headed for Idaho Falls for a Jayco fix. We left Parker AZ this morning and are currently in Beaver Utah. The high in Parker yesterday was 103*. When we pulled into Beaver Utah KOA it was a balmy 36* and headed for an expected 19* tonight.

It was windy all the way and I am pleased with how our 330RLTS tows. Fuel mileage in the wind really sucks. 9.5mpg on the first tank and 10mpg on the second. We have seen diesel prices from $4.06 to $4.56.

temp shock!

That kind of temperature change is bound to shock the system. Have a great journey, but most of all keep warm. SUMMER IS JUST AROUND THE CORNER, so they tell me.

What are the odds that we could get wifi two nights in a row. Diesel and gas seems to be the major expence. We have two trucks with Sallie towing our Rhino behind the GMC and me pulling the travel trailer with the Dodge. Every stop around 160mi is about $100. We checked in with Bish's RV and they should be able to get us in early tomorrow morning. We are currently parked in the Snake River RV Park in Idaho Falls. Just three more fuel stops and we will be home. The weather dosen't look good.

Ernie we really didn't want to leave Parker but our grand son will be in Spokane on the 15th and we don't want to miss him. He is in the Air Force. We also had a tree fall on our garage at home so we need to take care of that. We are in Mountain Home Idaho tonight. The weather in Montana caused us to change our mind about going that way to get home so we are now crossing Southern Idaho and will cross over into Pendelton and go North from there. We should be in Walla Walla Washington tomorrow night to visit relatives and then drive home.

Well yesterday was exciting. We crossed the Blue Mts on I-84 in a snow storm. Visability was about 100yds and at the worst the snow was 4" deep with no plows out yet. We made it home around 5 pm and our trailer is totally full of road grime. It is to cold here to wash it so it will have to stay dirty for a few more days.

Lee, it snowed here at home last night. When I retired I decided I didn't want to deal with snow any more. That just didn't work out I guess. That is OK though because we have a lot of wood and the home fire is burning.
