Outdoor Speaker Volume -

What is the proper etiquette for speaker volume? Can't hear it in the next campsite, barely hear it, or it's ok to play DJ for the campground and party?

Private campgrounds usually publish that sort of thing somewhere on the grounds or in your paperwork. State Parks, there's usually more distance between sites that allow for 'normal' volumes to be non intrusive to others. Most places I've been have a curfew hour established which is intended to shut down all noise from one site to another. Doesn't always work.

One thing I've noticed with my trailer, the outside speakers are quieter than the inside ones at the same volume level. Maybe that's intentional? My hearing aids are Bluetooth so if need be, I can stream to them and no one but me hears what's playing anyway!

Furion 3300.....probably the most user barbaric electronic device ever invented. I even tried the phone app to manage and that's just as useless. For the life of me I don't understand what purchasing manager in the RV biz made the decision to use that company for anything. The only thing it's good for in our trailer is to feed the Sirius into it. I even bypassed the damn thing and installed a BlueRay player so movies can actually be enjoyed. Done raging.

My philosophy is, I don't want to hear your music, and you'll never hear mine.

In the age of bluetooth I'm not sure why they even install outdoor speakers. I much prefer avoiding any possibility of disturbing the neighbors by using a bluetooth headset i can adjust to whatever volume I like.

How do the other people in your group enjoy that music?

Same goes for outside TV’s. Had a neighbor once next to us with his Class A that had a fancy outside big screen TV. It was on most of the day just blaring away with no one watching it. Guess they figured it was free entertainment for the rest of the campground.

Good philosophy. Making others listen to your tunes is like forcing people to eat a food they may not like.

This is why I like to boondock out in the desert ...... No neighbors close by to bother me, and visa versa !! I'm definitely not anti-social, but neither am I one for going to campgrounds, unless it's absolutely necessary, due of the close proximity of most campsites. Plus I go camping not only to get away from home, but to get away from the crowds, as well. Each to his or her own choosing; camping is what you like to make of it and what you enjoy while doing so. So, however you choose to do it, let's keep the campfires burning!!
