No carpet here. We use a RV Awning Mat

http://www.rvawningmats.com/

The backing that holds the carpet together tends to crack and fall apart. Our mat is 10 years old and holding up nicely.

I agree chipper, no outdoor carpet as they hold more moisture. We bought a vinyl mat just like yours at Home Depot but with no fancy pattern. They are so light and wash up easily with a hose in the driveway if they do get muddy. There are a seasonal item in our store and were a lot cheaper then the rv dealer.

We have found that many campgrounds do not allow the use of mats of any kind because they kill the grass leaving mud and dirt behind- Not a pleasant experience to have for future users of such a site- JMHO- DD

These like Chipper referenced are suppose to be CG friendly and will not yellow or kill grass.

I found another site a little cheaper.

http://www.carefreemats.com/mats/

Looks like the same description.

I am looking for the same thing. If I can't use it everywhere, it's light enough to have available when I can use it.

Our mat came from Amazon. Tons to choose from, we paid ~$60 for a 9x12 with a case...much better than outdoor carpet, dries in seconds and dirt just falls though it.

I have the outdoor carpet from Menards and it is great, I think I spend under $20 for it and if it get ruined I can just toss it, no reason to yet. I have 2 different size and the one I use most was a left over and is about 6x8 and used in front of the door.

Outside Awning Carpet

We just bought a new RV mat at Costco for $50. It comes with a carrying case as well. Our old one is 7-8 years old and still works, we just wanted a different color.

Check out the mats from J&J sunshades:
http://www.rvmat.com/htmats.htm

They are incredibly durable.

I tried outdoor fake grass carpet years ago. Never again. Stinky and heavy when wet.

Wally World has them too, $40-$50.00, we've had ours for 3 years now and love it. Look for it in the RV section, in the back by automotive.

Ditto on the mat from Costco. Best deal, nice color, open weave. 50 bucks in Canada.

I went with one of these. Very light weight, doesn't hold water or debris underneath, and easy to clean.

Just bought a grey 6'x9' mat from Costco, cost was $19.99. Does not have a cover, but I can use some wire to keep it contained while traveling.

I like how think it is. I can put it over sharp gravel, and I can walk on it bare foot all day long, and not get poked once.
