Outside LP Stove hook up

I would like to hook my Coleman LP stove to my outside LP connection on my Jayco X18D. Is there a special female quick disconnect for the LP male quick disconnect? Any suggestion on the best way would be greatly appreciated.

Not completely familiar with your Jayco model but most RV's regulate pressure at bottles to low pressure. If the Coleman stove has a regulator on it you would need to convert into a low pressure system like your camper uses, not high pressure off a single bottle or throw away bottle. I think it is as simple as unscrewing the regulator and using some fittings to convert it to low pressure use but I personally haven't done this although I want to convert my Weber Grill to RV propane use!

I assume it's a Coleman LXE, or similar stove, that uses the green disposable 1 lb gas bottles? Several previous threads here on JOF have covered this, and it's apparently quite do-able if you're at all handy. But now for the first time I see an actual commercial product that makes it possible. Word of warning, which allegedly may come from personal experience:

Check thoroughly for leaks with a soap water solution before lighting up the stove.

I may have had a fitting that cracked during tightening that may not have been discovered until half the outside of the grill was engulfed in flames. Luckily, the ball valves built into the trailers disconnect fitting cut the gas flow when turned, saving the day, and the grill.

The cracked fitting had a porosity issue, which caused the crack to develop.

I realize I am late to the party here, but wanted to add my solution for the Coleman Roadtrip Grill:

This is correct. You will need to remove the Coleman proprietary connector that screws into the grill and use connectors to fit it to a quick connect coupling.

I wound up finding the connectors at Ace Hardware, and the quick connectors and extension cable at Camping World - and it works like a champ! I used yellow gas tape on the threads and silicone sealing tape just to ensure no leaks out of an abundance of caution.
