P3 Brake Check

When I try to set the power on my P3 by sliding the brake lever at 25mph to find the lock up point, it never locks the tires. Even with the power set on 9, when I slide it over, I can just feel it slow me down, but not lock the brakes. With the power that high, and I hit the brake pedal, I can feel the brakes grabbing and locking on and off. Any ideas?

Sorry, I have not had coffee this morning if this post does not make any sense.

I have a p2, but should be similar enough.

I never set the power while moving, I set it while stopped, then test while driving ~25mph. Not sure if setting it while moving s having some effect, but I would think 9 would certainly lock up your brakes. Also, you mention using the slide to set the power, on mine you slide the level all the way then use the power setting wheel to adjust the power setting. Are you setting the boost? Generally keep mine around 6.5 with boost gain of "1".

I too haven't had coffee so I hope my answer makes some sense.

Sorry, little more awake now.

Now use the slide to check the brakes, and use the big buttons on the left to increase the power. I started at 6 and went up to 9.

I am no expert, but sounds like you may need to have your trailer brakes adjusted. Hopefully others with a lot more experience than I will weigh in.

Hopefully I am going to get a dealer appointment to get the awning fixed soon, and I will have them check them while its there for warranty work.
