Not that my fellow JOFers aren’t careful anyway, but for those in MA the weekend of August 5 - 7 please be extra careful. There will be several thousand cyclists, me included, on the road participating in the annual Pan-Mass Challenge ("PMC").
The PMC is an annual bike-a-thon that raises money to support life-saving cancer research and treatment at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute (“DFCI”) in Boston. The PMC organization was founded in 1980 and to date has raised in excess of $500 million for cancer research and treatment at the DFCI through its Jimmy Fund. The goal this year is to raise $46 million for the Jimmy Fund and Dana-Farber. For more information on the PMC please visit

The Saturday riders are primarily between Sturbridge, Wellesley and Bourne and the Sunday riders between Bourne, Provincetown and Wellesley.
Thanks!
