Late last year I saw a F150 Platinum for ~$60,000, and that was more than my mortgage.

I went truck shopping end of 2014. My entire life I have allways had Chevrolets and fords. I am 52. That's all I looked at. Until for some reason I found myself on a Dodge truck lot. Found for the buck I surely got a WHOLE lot more truck from them then the Ford or Chevy and walked away with Tradesman 2500 model for $32 grand.....

Was at the Strawberry Festival in Plant City, Florida this past March. They had one of those Ford F-150 Platinum's that was fully loaded with a sticker price of $71,000! I just purchased a loaded 2015 Ram 2500 Diesel for less than $50,000. Lots more bang for my buck, IMO!

We paid $13,000 for our '96 crew cab Chevy with a vortec 454 back in the spring of 2000. This truck isn't fancy and doesn't get great gas mileage, but it does the job of pulling our 2013 351RLTS just fine. I think we've got one of the most economical trucks in the country.

I gave 34,000 for a fully loaded 2012 Silverado 1500 LTZ. HAd 5 miles when I got in it. I thought I got a deal maybe not. I really dont worry what others spend on their play toys.

Holy smokes! You're talking about serious money. Some of those prices are more than our Greyhawk... And it came with a kitchen and bedroom!

I still have 4 yrs. to go to pay it off. We brought the townhouse 18 yrs. ago for $ 155.000. We remortgaged once. at a better rate, After Mike Died I combined a couple of loans, and double the payments. I am on the 5 yr. plan

Just looked at a test of three diesels, Ford, Chevy and Ram, one-tons both empty and pulling a load. The prices as tested were right at $68,000, not $80,000, but still very expensive. My 2012 3/4 ton D/A crew cab was stickered at around $54,000. Quite a jump in three years.
