They always have a few "halloween" weekends and we try to take advantage as my wife runs a youth center and is always working halloween. So when we camp she is able to trick or treat with our young twins. This weekend was planned well in advance and when we heard there might be a chance of snow, that did not detur us. We arrived, CG was packed on Friday evening, by 2pm saturday we were one of about 25 familes still there. It snowed and it snowed. Got about 13 inches in the capground. It was so peaceful standing by the fire as the snow fell all around. I love a to enjoy a cigar and a ****tail while sitting by the fire, and this nite as the snow piled up it was gorgeous. when it got to much to stay outside, our camper was warm and inviting, and watching the snow fall outside was amazing.
Most people thought we were crazy, but we all just loved it. (not too much fun trying to pack up and get out the following day, trees were bent over, had to leave the camper till the next weekend...but so worth it)

We camped that same weekend, also at a local CG with a Halloween themed event. The difference here was we got rain, very high winds and even some tidal flooding in the CG! But the festivities went on and most folks stayed. I would have rather had the snow, myself.

CARAMEL ROLLS

1 loaf frozen bread dough sliced thin (If it’s too frozen to slice you can mic it for half a min or so)
3 oz pkg regular butterscotch pudding (not instant)
˝ cup melted margarine
˝ cup Brown sugar
˝ cup chopped nuts ( I used Pecans)
1/2 tsp cinnamon
I read this to my DW and she thought orange zest would be a nice addition for this recipe. May have to try this next weekend...

Let me know how it turns out. I might give it a try also. I have a favorite cookie recipe.....lemon chocolate chip that has zest of lemon in it and it's great too,

PharOe,

Copyed your bun recipe and will definitely try it out.
Your version of a perfect camping morning is how we all must feel. I am new to RVing, have taken the G2 out 3 weekends last year. (Got it in Jun) and can't wait to go this Spring.

Well red horse this thread is about imagining your perfect day when your no longer at work and you are somewhere warm looking out at a lake and the smell of campfires filters the air, the trees are green and maybe you have a nice cold beer in your hand while you gently swing in your hammock near your very own camping trailer! hope this helps, if not...oh well I tried.... Btw you can rain on my parade anyday. As long as I'm in a Tt and not a tent, I happen to love rain once in a while

Hate to kick a man while hes down, but here is a real pic for you. Canoeing last summer on String Lake in Grand Tetons National Park WY. The water was so clear you could see the fish swimming (I hope your not a fisherman) right under our canoe. Nothing like a morning canoeing under the mountains on a sun sparkled day with a picnic lunch in tow!
