Pet screen door protector
What do you use to protect your screen door from pets running through it? Thanks!

Camping World or Home supply. Screens are a little pricey but they work.

We used velcro to put plexiglass across most of the bottom of the screen door. She can see out and it also protects the screen. Stopped the glass from going to the bottom so air could circulate.

DW is/was a dog trainer... Never had an issue with them even touching the screen and they never attempt to come out until they are given the "OK". They will bark to let us know that their territory is about to be invaded by another K9. They listen better than our kids did, of course they also have selective hearing regarding other things, like get out of the water (not going to happen).. so in that respect, I am spoiled. But like their human counterparts, we ALL have a trigger point.
DW claims they still walk all over me... why is it they always come to me when they want to go out, or get a drink of cold water after they play, or want to be fed.... wait I am seeing a pattern here... need a tee shirt with dog paw prints on the back.
Just lucky to have a GREAT dog trainer living with me

I bought a plastic (vinyl) screen door protector from a local hardware store. Unfortunately, it was white and the screen door is black. So I painted it with a couple of coats of paint that was suppose to work on plastic. Not so much! It covered the white O.K., but it scratches off pretty easily. Once I get to a semi-permanent spot this spring, I'll give it another coat. It works great, helps keep the door square, and still allows the breeze to come through. Sorry, don't have a picture of it and my camera's not working.

On our patio door at home, I installed a piece of metal latticework that matched the door screen nicely. Just a few pop-rivets and it's been solid as a rock against the dogs, grandkids, and other critters. Found it at Home Depot for around $25.
Something like this just to give you an idea but this one is vinyl and a whole different pattern.

Our dog doesn't always see that the screen is closed when entering the TT - and BANG!! Campingworld currently has their screen door grills on sale. Amazon also has a nice selection of screen door grills.

My pups are too old to go bolting through the door, but I think your cheapest option is to tape a piece of cardboard in the bottom section of the door. That should prevent your dogs from even trying, and give you decent resistance if they do.
For a less ugly alteration, I would get a piece of lexan or plexyglass from Lowes/HD and either tape it or drill holes in the corner and use some small self tapping screws to attach to the frame. You can even drill holes or cut slots in the plastic to allow air flow if that concerns you.

We just carry a spare roll of screen material and a spline tool. Most of the time, it is a visitors dog that causes the issue, not ours.
