Pic Request of Bumper Mount Grill

Can someone share pics of their bumper mounted grill that was installed at the factory? It would be nice to see the swing arm both extended with the grill attached and retracted for traveling.

I thought I was being smart by not ordering this option on my TT, so I could save some $$. I got a brand new companion grill for very cheap through this site from another member, and I bought this bumper mount, thinking they are universal. The issue with my TT is the ladder is mounted on the curb side, and the bottom of the ladder is only a few inches from the bumper, so this type of mount does not work.

I contacted Jayco, and they couldn't "find" a picture for me. Nice...

Thanks in advance for any assistance.

I don't have a pic, but our factory bumper grill only has a straight square tube bar that slides in the bumper mounted "grill hitch". The grill then mounts to the straight "bar". It does not have a hinge at all....

I have not mounted it on the bumper, but maybe it slides in enough for travel????

I have this exact same grill as pictured above and it is cheaply made and I really didn't like it. I bought a Weber grill and converted it to work on my existing propane line and just set the grill on a table. It works great.

I would take it to a welding shop or hitch shop that does custom hitches. They should be able to cut that long arm enough to get it low enough to clear the ladder. I assume we have the same ladder setup to bumper and I have about 4-6 inches between the bottom and the bumper. Please post your solution - I am interested in that same mount.

Haha, well obviously you wouldn't travel with the grill attached to it.

That's about the distance; I would have to measure. Cutting it shorter may work, if only I knew a welder...

All of the hitch places around you should be able to take care of that for (guessing) less than 50$. 2 cuts, 1 weld.

Jason, that's how it was mounted on the right side of the bumper. Of course I moved the mount to the other side, hacked the square tubing and reused it for a water filter mount. The other piece I sent was for the other style mounting. The grill could be mounted either way. Wall mount on track, that other style hanger you had showed me, or on the 2 pegs / bar mount.

We have that exact grill and it works fine. I would say it is lightweight instead of cheap. And yes, I would order it again. That's always one of the first questions I ask when getting someone's opinion about a product or service.

Just saw your comment, John. Thanks for sending the other mount, but I don't have the rails on the side to mount, and I don't plan to drill holes into my new trailer any time soon! LOL Plus with the curb side slide along with the outside kitchen, there's not a convenient place to mount it on the side. It would be perfect on the rear bumper, to go along with the outdoor kitchen, if I can only get this mount to work.
