I am full time living in my Pinnacle and lately my lines keep freezing (at -15).. I have a heater going on under the trailer and water is always running but now the hot water pilot has seem to shut down. Tried to reignite it but nothing. I know the propane is running because the furnace is working well and the switch for water heater is gas which has been turned on.. anyone know if the pilot light for the hot water tank in a Pinnacle is automatic? has this happened to anyone? Any advice or suggestions? help!
Thanks in advance.
Check your fuse panel. The light is only a control switch the acutal fuse for the WH may be blown. Also go outside and listen for a tick(ignitor spark) when somebody turns on the switch. If you don't hear a tick there is no power getting to the control panel.
But why not just use the electric element and save the propane?
I am on a 30 AMP camp site and if i have 2 heaters and the electric element on it blows the breaker and I know there is a pilot light it was burning yesterday and this morning there is no flame.
I've checked the control panel and all the breakers seem fine. How will i know if I blew a fuse? they all seem normal.

I would pull the one for the water heater and replace it with another one just to test it. Also why not run a separate cord to the 20 amp on the post for one of the space heaters.
If you haven't done so, check the wires to the igniter. I had one that worked loose at the connection terminal last year, pushed the connector in and everything started working again. Good luck
Thanks for all the suggestions. I turned on the electric water heater as well as the gas and now it works.. i guess I will have to have them both on all winter.
