Pleated shades - replaced them with Levolor mini blinds

On our last camping trip my wife tried to raise the shade on the windows next to her side of the bed and the string broke. I checked the window on my side and found it was about to break. So I checked the condition of the strings on the other windows. All showed a lot of wear.

It was apparent that this would be a repair that would need to be done repetitively. I decided that instead of fixing this and repeating the process periodically I would replace all of these shades with Levolor mini blinds.

You will be very happy with the change over. When mine start being a pain, I plan to do the same thing, especially the larger/ wider ones. They are a real pain to raise and lower and repair.

I did it in my last rig and we were very pleased.

We replaced all our shades as soon as we bought the TT.

Shades only work if you run AC full time. If you want to block the sun and still have a breeze, blinds are the way to go. The only caviate is that they need to be up while traveling. Otherwise they bang around a lot.

I have the plastic retainer pins mounted at the bottom that hold the blinds and prevent the banging around while traveling.
