Pleather Furniture Flaking

We have a 2013 26rls with the brown pleather furniture for the two rear chairs, the couch, dinette and window trim. All of the material is flaking off on every piece in our TT with the exception of the window trim. It’s terrible and I’ve attached some pics.

For what it’s worth, we’ve used this TT a ton since we got it. It was used about every 2-3 weeks from April through October since 2013 up until covid hit. Grandparent owned and used with the exception of a few times kids under 10 were in it for occasional meals.

I did just purchase the unit from my parents since they moved away and no longer had a vehicle for it. We’ve got a three year old and a one year old. The TT isn’t the best setup for our family but it’s hard to beat the family discount on price. Lol

Anyway, is there anything that can be done about the furniture? Should we just look into replacing everything? Once the kids get out of day care we’ll probably look to upgrade to something better for our family but that’s still 4-5 years away.

This has been discussed on many threads in this forum. Once the phaux leather starts flaking not much you can do but cover it or replace it with new.

Here is a link to a recent post regarding a patch to cover the delamination. Or if you like the furniture, you could get it reupholstered.

This is an issue that all the RV manufacturers were aware of. It was some type of “beta” product that was a failure and the maker of it either went out of business or simply won’t cover it. The RV makers don’t use it anymore and they won’t cover the cost to fix it.
