Plumbing

We just purchased a 2016 Redhawk and our shower will not drain, both of the sinks drain fine. (The gray tank is empty) We stopped at a Jayco dealer and they checked the check valve vent under the sink and said it was fine. We have called the dealer where we purchased the RV, but can't seem to get any answers. Does anyone have any ideas what else we can do? We are travelling and would really like to get this resolved.

Pull the drain screen and see if there is some construction debris in the trap/pipe.
Your dealer should have run water and checked all that before you took delivery.

Can you try an old fashioned toilet plunger in case something is stopping it up.
Another handy tool that may help is a closet auger.
It's another tool to unstop drains.

Also check the plumbing vent for your shower drain.

The black PVC for all your sinks will have a length of pipe that terminates just under the countertop with a small vent fixture on top of it. Your tub(?) shower will have one too. If the plumbing vent is blocked, then you will get a vacuum lock on the p-trap and your drain won't drain well, if at all.

Plumbing

Our draining problem is getting worse, now when we pull the plug on the kitchen sink, water comes shooting out of the bathroom sink! We took the rv to a Jayco dealer yesterday and they tried several different things, like put new check valve vent on, pulled the gray tank to see if there was any blockage....both the dealer and I have been trying to reach Jayco customer service for help but all we can do is leave a message, patiently waiting for a call back.
