Portable air compressor

Hey just wondering if you carry a portable compressor, if so what works for you, what would you look for if buying one, battery connection, power outlet connection, best bang for your buck.
I was browsing earlier and this setup looks pretty good , would appreciate some imput or info if you are using something similar.

ViaAir is a great kit with the power to deliver 110 psi in a reasonable amount of time.

I carry the VIAIR. It connects to the battery and has enough hose to reach the trailer tires.

Recently purchased a Porter Cable 150 psi 1.5 Gallon compressor and it does an incredible job of filling my tires to the required 80 psi.

Google "rv geeks air compressor". They have a detailed video on the VIAIR unit. Looks pretty impressive in a small size.

I've carried a Kobalt 12 v multi inflator since we purchased our TT. I also purchased a 12 V heavy duty extension cord so I can reach the trailer tires from the TV power outlets. It also has a removable digital tire gauge.

I picked up this one a few months back at Lowes and absolutely love it.

https://www.lowes.com/pd/Fini-1-2-Ga...essor/50385522

It is 120v only. So if I have to use it on the side of the road I will be firing up the generator.

I have been looking at 12v ones but just have not decided on one yet. I will probably end up getting one to mount on the truck anyway for my air bags at some point so I am holding off.

Another vote for the Viair. Bought it after finding out about it on the forum. Small, lightweight and I use it for a lot of applications where I have no AC power.

We are also fans of the Viair. We use the model # 88P. I wanted a compressor that hooked up directly to the battery. It works great and makes filling up the tires so convenient.

In my truck I had mounted an Extremaire unit from Extreme Outback along with a small tank. though they do have a variety of types and sizes to choose from. If I were going to buy a new one I would look hard at their Magnum as it puts out quite a bit more air thought eh price goes up with it.

https://www.extremeoutback.com/produ...mpressors.html

I had it mounted behind the cab under the bed of my truck. It sat under there for over 13 years. Getting ready to mount it on the new truck here within the next week or so. Worked great. Not that this is the only one to use as there are certainly others, Viair for one but I cant speak to them as this is the one I use and it has held up great. I went with 12v over 120v so that I could use it anywhere anytime and I could mount it out of the way without taking up any storage space. If you do go 12v just make sure and get one that is 100% duty cycle rated.

Oasis makes a dandy 12 volt comp that will do 8 cfm at 100 psi but it comes at a cost - uses up to 150 amps, weighs 65 lbs and cost $1700+.

I've been running this https://www.amazon.com/Air-Armor-M24.../dp/B00VROSSKM

Little on the pricey side, but I like that it is in the ammo can which makes it almost bomb proof. i also like the long air hose with the quick release air chuck.

So far very happy with the purchase.

I found some old connectors from an old solar panel that I use to plug into the solar port to run the compressor when needed.

Portable air compressor

Just got this in the mail and unpacked it. They have made an upgrade in the hoses and are more heavy duty than the yellow ones in the photos online. Very nice package and carry case.
